I recognized the email problem years ago and while I have to look at it every day, I refuse to let it control my life. I am required to have a BB for work because it doubles as my phone, but I keep the email on silent and only use it to compose, never to read. I have found that everyone in the office lives by their email... what on earth did a VP or manager do before email, maybe they did work. My advise is to look at your email for 30 minutes when you get to the office and check it for 30 minutes before you leave.... and that is it.

Crazy how cumbersome email has gotten, eh? I like the 5-sentences pledge he spoke about. And, the one sentence email from a boss which represents a month's worth of work. So true!
